Newlywed Film Stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna Invite Narendra Modi to Wedding Reception

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to a post-wedding reception by globally renowned film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. Photos of the newlyweds meeting the Prime Minister after their wedding have gone viral on social media.
According to Indian media outlet NDTV, Vijay and Rashmika paid a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister in New Delhi on February 21, 2026. It is reported that the photos of the meeting surfaced online a day after their wedding, which took place on February 26 in Udaipur, 
Rajasthan. The couple also formally invited the Prime Minister to their wedding reception scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on March 4.
In the viral images, Rashmika is seen wearing a yellow salwar kameez, while Vijay is dressed in white attire. The couple presented the Prime Minister with a ceremonial shawl as a mark of respect.
On February 25, Prime Minister Modi sent a congratulatory letter addressed to Vijay’s parents, extending his best wishes to the newlyweds. In the letter, he wrote, “I am delighted to receive the invitation to the wedding of Vijay and Rashmika to be held on February 26, 2026. On this auspicious and joyous occasion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Deverakonda and Mandanna families.”
The Prime Minister further stated that the marriage marks the beginning of a new and beautiful chapter in their lives. He expressed hope that they would walk together as lifelong friends, enriching their journey with love, responsibility, and mutual respect.
Notably, their wedding ceremony was held in a private and intimate setting at Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur in Udaipur, Rajasthan, attended only by close family members and friends.
Following the wedding, Vijay shared an emotional message on social media, writing, “I married my best friend. 26.02.2026.” Meanwhile, in a joint Instagram announcement, the couple revealed that they had named their wedding “The Wedding of Virosh,” honoring the popular nickname given to them by their fans.
